Good morning, warriors!

We are all dealing with a TON of shit.

Except we're not.

This is an Audax Club Parisien Super Randonneur medal. It means I rode a 200K, 300K, 400K, and 600K brevet in a calendar year.

600K is 373 miles. Mine was 401 because I went off course. It took me 38½ hours…

Agreed.

(And see also: "This is not who we are," in Alec Guinness voice, with the two-finger wave.)
President Donald Trump’s reflexive defenders lazily rely on the phrase “Trump derangement syndrome” (TDS) as both a schoolyard taunt and a blanket pardon for any fact-based criticism of the president. But the level of mass denial many of them exhibited this week is actually deranged.
Trump die-hards and fellow travelers are using a ‘Jedi mind trick’ on themselves
The real “Trump derangement syndrome” is looking at the Epstein emails, Trump's graft and U.S. warships in the Caribbean and saying, “There’s nothing there.”

Actually, I'm wrong about this. It will and does.

Just not with me.

Today I roasted some honeynut and delicata squashes I've had sitting around. Olive oil, salt, black pepper, a little cayenne. I figured I'd need to do something more to them after they went onto brown rice, but wow, that was shockingly good.

Squashes, who knew.

Epstein survivors just dropped a powerful message for Congress, and it hits like a warning: no more waiting, the truth is coming, ready or not.

I’m still struggling with the fact that ICE “brown shirts” went to a taco shop and thought they would get served.

F that!

My Keith's Notes summation of Crime and Punishment, when I was in Junior High:

There's a lot of "This is your first oppression, isn't it," in my thoughts lately.

When you try to "not be political," you help the wrong people get away with the wrong things. Pretty much always, as far as I can tell.

I understand it a lot better now.

The biggest impediment to an endgame of fairness, freedom, and nonviolence is people who can't seem to get past the idea that the endgame is a fixation on niceness.
–Jews did.
–Muslims did.
–I did.
–My friends did.
–Some who haven't given up still do.

This meme isn't just about MAGA or Republicans. Tons of people call themselves "moderates" or "liberals" who act like nobody ever said anything—or still dismiss them as snarky, dangerous, extremist, or whatever.

I like the sound, but if it doesn't support odd time signatures, sadly that's a no.

Good morning, warriors.

Did you know you can say "Hey Siri, where are you?" and Siri will light up and say "I'm over here!"

It's especially handy when're you're a person who regularly puts his black, rectangular phone down on any black, rectangular object.

The way people have been convinced that local politics are somehow entirely disconnected to national politics is mindblowing. Local, state, national, it's all the same animal. 1/

It doesn't say they can't be weird and creepy about it.

Go nuts, spectrum people.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.
