Of course there have always been crappy movies. I have never met one cinephile that denied that. But film as an artform has changed dramatically, especially in the past two decades, for a variety of reasons, mostly due to corporate interests. The streamification of cinema has been so harmful to it.

Once years ago I got to see an actual film print of this screened at the KY Theater in Lexington with Hunter Carson in attendance. All grown up. He shared some lovely me memories and signed a lobby card for me. Adored Kinski. Very special day.

If it makes you feel any better a lot of those fawning replies look to be from Bot accounts. It made me feel a little better at least but knowing some are real is depressing and infuriating.

Not to argue with a Bot account, but he'll be remembered for one thing and one thing only. Intentionally not ensuring the criminal accountability of Trump and everyone around him and then losing the country to them. That's his legacy.
