Grauniad correction from today; "This article was amended on 22 November 2025. An earlier version of a picture caption said that Les Dawson was a "volunteer coastguard". He is in fact a volunteer watchkeeper. The picture of Les Dawson.

Melbourne local Bill Morgan, who after nearly dying a year before, won a car on the local lottery scratch card. The local news team picked up the story asked him to go to the shop and recreate the scratchcard moment. When the camera rolled and he scratched the card, the ticket revealed that he'd won $250,000.
