For so long Amazon has had a monopoly on selling self-published books. Good to see that @bookshop.org is ready to compete in the space! www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...

Book 5/50

This was interesting. It made me think about the reasons we try to advance as a species and I think it's almost always defensive. It ended on a well written cliffhanger and I'll read the next one for sure.

I decided to give myself the treat of a donut, which I didn't normally do.

The donut was extremely sub par

I'm mad about it

Book 4/50

It took a bit for it to get going for me but when it did, whoa man did it.
I hate cliffhangers, but this was written very well.

I wish I could have listened to the audio book, because I know I'm mispronouncing names in my head.

Book 3/50 3.25/5
Typical sci-fi from the 1970's. In the distant future, humans encounter aliens and end up having to determine if they are a threat to mankind, or just trading partners.
I already own the sequel, and I'll read it eventually

Really good imagery but I had issues with the plot.

I'm always nervous recommending a book that I really love to people. They learn something about you, and also if they read it and don't like it they might be judgemental.
I did however, recommend a book last night to my book club.

Something I don't like in books is when the person who has to die is somehow miraculously saved.

Another, is when the person who dies is somehow brought back to life.

That's just me
