Like many others, I find myself rapidly becoming a social democratic version of George Will.

We have a crisis of soft, decadent and deeply irresponsible people turning their personal defects into everyone else's problem.

Communist George Will sounds like an excellent parody account for this site, well done.

Today is the best day for that, but every day subsequent to today would also be a great day to remove his fossilized ass from our politics forever.

I fear it will have to get apocalyptically bad before people start asking questions. Unfortunately, what I've seen on here from some fairly knowledgeable people indicates that it will, in fact, get that bad.

The Fuckening

The American empire in its current guise is neither savable nor worth saving.

This doesn't mean we can't build something good out of the ashes, but that's going to take several decades. We're going to have to do Reconstruction 2, Electric Boogaloo and make sure we finish the job this time.

I love that we're at the "Brazenly Manipulating Financial Markets" part already, and we're only on Day 90 of this maelstrom of stupidity.
