@nonarkitten.bsky.social
Artist, music producer, programmer. I like cycling in my spare time if I'm not bingeing the seemingly endless supply of anime on Netflix.

And also maybe a bit into cats.
Quite the contrast to Danielle Smith's reception.

How can either side trust her?
November 29, 2025 at 4:50 PM
She's too Conservative for most of Alberta and too Liberal for her base. Tells you a lot about who's running this pony show.

If ~53% of Albertan's didn't vote for her then shame for not showing up to the polls.

Otherwise yeah, most Albertans did vote for her and they knew EXACTLY who they were getting.

Jets require constant maintenance. If the maintenance and logistics support no longer exists, the jets won't be safe to fly. And before you say the "US would never do that" they have before.

Human thumb thinks Christians are oppressed because women, queers and immigrants still have rights.

So I guess they all hate Jesus now?

Wasn't some toehead ambassador whining about Canada meddling in THEIR politics just recently?
November 21, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Of course he is, this a billions of dollars on the line. But the "competition" was a sham to begin with and Saab is the only one who was able to beat the game -- give Canada all the IP so any "NORAD lock in" can be done on our side.

Passing on the Gripen now would be Grade A dumb.

Yeah.

We're pivoting and already it warms my heart to see Canadian agriculture dominating our stores now. All good things take time.

But we need to curtail the growing wage gap somehow and I haven't seen anything done on that front.

FUCP.

Since when have the UCP been "correct" about anything?

$70B investment in Canada has an expectation of being paid in return with interest, so how much should Canada net from this $70B investment?
November 21, 2025 at 10:24 PM
It's not all sunshine and rainbows: "Canada's income inequality reached a record high in the first half of 2025, as the gap between the top 40% and bottom 40% of households widened to 48.4 percentage points in the second quarter, matching the previous year's record."

GDP != Wellbeing.
November 21, 2025 at 10:22 PM
As if anyone could.
November 21, 2025 at 10:19 PM
Also, the US population growth has been in decline while Canada's has been rising since 2016.

Slowly feed the rich into wood chippers.

Literally everything is better here.

PP's running out of a platform to stand on.
