Longing

Make A Wish

Had a go at a mini canvas (5 X5 inches) for learning purposes. Using brushes is not something I do very often, as I have endless trouble with them... This was kind of fun though.

When I was about 4 years old my mother and I used to lie under a sugarplum tree. She would tell me about the fairies that lived in the tree. Suddenly plums would rain down on us, proving her words. It took me years to realise she had sneakily kicked the tree.

Been feeling a little boxed in by the weather this week. I honestly did not realise how much grey and damp is involved in the Irish winter when I moved here many moons ago. (But it never gets to -30 c, so that's a win)

Perhaps this is a weird opinion, but I think artists should post their "bad" art too. I feel like it'd be a nice way to show that not every piece is perfect/high quality, which could possibly encourage beginner artists to keep at it even if they feel their art isn't great.
