it'll be a lot easier to build the crosswalks, sidewalks, stormwater, pothole fixes and traffic calming in your neighborhood streets if the state doesn't spend literal billions of dollars on highway projects that only encourage even more driving and instead directs funding to local communities!

also lol did y'all see that the Oregon Transportation Commission withdrew their vote tomorrow on whether or not to proceed with the proposed $2 billion Rose Quarter Freeway Expansion? Seems like they are starting to get cold feet....

what a *huge* opportunity for Governor Tina Kotek to hire the right person and get this agency equipped to actually deliver a 21st century transportation system.

Let's hope she's willing to do it.
