It should be - populism (to benefit the people) works - but the party establishment will not have it. They'd rather never get elected again than actually go left of center.

Def timed to distract. it looks pretty bland and cheap, tbh, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. I am happy to the Razorcrest return, but not enough to pay money to see this. Cancelled my sub to D+ and not missing anything, really.

It's beyond simple fascism - they are 100% prepping for full-on end of democracy - no way in hell they intend on giving up power. Every move towards having militarized police, national guard in cities, prison camps, and ice is effectively the KGB. They are prepping to violently put down resistance.

Corruption is not totally legal, didn't you know? In fairness, it kind of has been since Citizens United. They just don't even bother hiding it anymore. Every branch of our government is for sale. And it's actually pretty cheap.

It's such a wierd time - all the rules for buying tech products have gone out the window. You generally expect to pay a premium to buy early as prices come down over time, but prices have only gone up on tech that's been in the market for 5 years. Glad I have that Switch 2 preorder confirmed. Yikes.

Oh for sure. ANd we've also alienated ourselves from every trade partner, so no one outside of America is going to buy our stuff. Meanwhile everyone is losing their asses in the market. None of this has any hope of working. Trump handed China the world, and they'll take it.

I've suspected the endgame here is to destroy the middle class leaving only billionaires and a peasant class of workers. And if white collar jobs are eventually being replaced by AI, there will be a ton of desperate folks. It's evil enough to be plausible. But I think I give them too much credit.

Confession is an accusation, as always, from these guys. We don't have the richest guy on the planet buying elections on the left. Hell, do we have any billionaires on our side other than Cuban and Gates? All the others bent the knee to Trump.
