Apparently, footage of the new Travis Knight directed Masters of the Universe movie was shown this week and it looks great. Am I excited? Naaahhh...not at all. I love this stuff so much - I've collected a few things over the years ... this is maybe half of it. ha. Let's go!

One of the little joyful distractions I’ve rediscovered this year is Lego, and it’s been so fun to put all my fav characters into scenes together. Here’s He-Man, Link, and a boatload of castle and D&D guys on a quest. I am a nerd - one of the good ones, I hope.

Well, credit where it’s due. Trump united the world on this issue.

Greetings from my studio in Louisville, KY.
Someone said I looked like Ali G with this combo. Harsh, but fair. ha.

The desire to "own" someone can lead you to drink poison to hurt the other guy. You'll never see a bigger self-own than this: $1tn in Health and SNAP cuts affecting red states disproportionately, almost $1tn added to the deficit to give 1% a $1.1tn tax cut - all this to "own" the libs. Huzzah.

At risk of dating myself, when I think of DOGE this is the image I see in my head.

There are few days that I don't wake up thinking all this could have been avoided with Bernie. DGMW, I voted Hilary in 2016 (F a protest vote), but Bernie was the left's compassionate answer to Trump's predatory populism and fascism. Many Dems know it deep down. We threw him away. Wouldashoulda etc.

Gaming has always been a form of therapy for me - my brain can kind of just disconnect from my body and be somewhere else, and frankly, I have to sometimes. The purest expression of this is the open-world fantasy game, like Skyrim. I highly recommend Avowed, IMO the best game of its type in a while.

I want to post more about my joys - I am frankly exhausted of thinking about the fuckery in DC. So i reckon it’s important to really pay attention to all the little joys, the things that make you smile in the face of fuckery. As soon as BsKY’s insta app is up, that’s where I’ll be, smiling at cats.

Things bringing me joy:
1. Surprise dinner with dear friends
2. Masters of the Universe movie is now filming!
3. Lego Castles
4. Avowed on Xbox
5. My affection for my coworkers
6. The cutest cat in the world. You think yours is the cutest, but you are wrong.

I'm kicking around the idea of starting a YouTube channel / Podcast that is like "Damn the algorithm, let's make positive content" - I want a channel that talks about things we love and find joy in. Movies, Art, games, toys, kittens, whatever it is that is bringing us joy. Earnestly. Interested?

For those of a certain age, you remember what “truth justice and the American way” meant. Fiercely defend those in danger. Help those in need. Be a force for good. The strongest can be the most gentle. Crush hate and fascism. This is who we used to believe America to be. I grieve the loss of that.

We find joy wherever we can these days. The arts. Our kitties. Art about kitties.

You find the wildest things in the middle of nowhere KY. Josephine’s Sculpture Park features this really special convergence of graffiti, street art, and typographical sculpture. By Peyton Russell Scott.

I know that this platform isn't an Instagram replacement, but since I'm not really posting on IG anymore, here's me and my fav human at a KY Shakespeare performance of the Oscar WIlde romp, The Importance of Being Earnest. Good times. :)
