Let's talk about marine isopods, the roly-polies of the sea. This is Bathynomus giganteus, the largest of 1000's of species that live in dark, deep, cold waters of the ocean where they feed on dead things that fall to the bottom (including whales!)
They're crustaceans but with unusual traits...

Alt: A marine isopod, presumably in a touch tank. I've compared the library gif to some aquariums, and I think this is the touch tank at the Aquarium of the Florida Keys. It looks like a giant pill bug, the size of a Chihuahua dog.
