When I was in startup mode, I was spreadsheeting 2 phase vs 3 phase power rates at a friend’s under implemented warehouse. There is no math at modern commercial website scale that makes paying someone else for something a single rack in your basement can do. Used 4U servers are just too cheap.

This is the basic conceit of Woolf’s “A Room of One’s Own”, and a guiding principle for human development in my life.

When I am around the type, I am super shocked by how little they understand, even when you narrow it down to whatever they are known to be “super geniuses” or whatever about. They get “Imposter’s Syndrome” because they are imposters. They aren’t nerds, they are rich kids trying to look cool.

Almost none of them actually invented, created, or developed anything. Even their highest accomplishments are abstract financial instruments, nothing meaningful, nothing lasting. No pyramid, no plow, no new energy sources, no scientific leaps, just web coding their way to wealth. They know nothing.

Can this be the tipping point; please universe/god/history!?!?

I accidentally saw it, and I really liked it. I typically hate those [city name] prestige comedy shows, but it was genuinely entertaining, the characters were very emotionally investable.

I liked his style, as well. I reject pretty much all psychoanalytic thought, but embrace many of it’s methods as constructive forms of mindfulness. Synchronicities are a very good example. They are not meant to be interpreted, only noticed, the change evolves from the pause in other thoughts.

They get more fun when you disconnect them from the internet while using them.

Just make being a pointless contrarian a cultural taboo, again. Always expect a solution to follow any unsolicited or unearned complaint, otherwise it’s not actionable, and thereby worthless. I deeply hate how much people fuck with each other when they argue, it serves so little purpose.
