His first pair of arms is choking Dennis, and the second pair has clawed open his abdomen, revealing a bright red mass of unidentified flesh. Dennis is looking at the demon in the eyes with a solemn and defiant, yet relaxed expression, as if he's not afraid of it anymore, but still sleepy. Dennis is colored in a slightly bluish hue, while the rest of the painting (that is not obscured by the darkness) takes red hues. Everything but Dennis is textured in a paraedolic way, twisting the colors and the shadows into slight swirls and eyes. Dennis is taking a more realistic approach to shading.
