i can very much see that, too, and i've always been a fan of both. i was working on something related to FLCL just in the last hour for my site, and it had me admiring one of its posters' artwork again. (this one:)

I was grabbing a cover image for my review of Speed Grapher (2005), and what I found doesn't even look like it's from the same property! It was funny to me, since while I quite like the series, it's the archetypal mid-2000s ugly digital anime series.

I just learned through unrelated research that the Dancouga franchise received a 40th anniversary box set back in March of this year. It seems like Bandai Namco released it, but it appears to be a Japanese-only release with no English subs... (CONTINUED IN THREAD)

My favorite part about this video is when the guy gets his Blastoise back, he looks like he's trying really hard to work up tears cuz that's what the typical scene in these docs calls for. God bless that guy. At least he was crying over the best starter.

I started writing an article analyzing the changes to Axel's character from Super Robot Wars: Original Generation 2's GBA original to its PS2 remake. So far it's been pretty cathartic, as I think there is a widespread problem with media literacy and flawed characters. Excerpt: #gaming #writing #srw

it makes my skin crawl that there's an action game spinoff for the Super Robot Wars: Original Generation games, which is something i would have fantasized about as a kid, and it allegedly sucks. one day i'll have to dive in myself and join the disappointment train.
