You may well have already read it but The Corrections really is great.

You’re being dumber than me and I’m drunk. Good bye.
November 30, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Yes. But 24 would be ridiculous and terrible. So that’s a con
November 30, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Literally no. We can pick the 4 best. That can be the thing we do.
November 30, 2025 at 1:41 AM
The point is: incredibly popular leagues (all major soccer ones) value the regular season over a playoff structure.

That they have relegation is irrelevant to this point.
November 30, 2025 at 1:35 AM
None of which is applicable! There’s 110+ teams!
How many you kicking out?
How does that matter to the remaining teams?

I’m gonna stop responding if there’s any more ridiculousness.
November 30, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Now you’re just being silly.

Who would be the scrubs kicked out and why would that matter?

Northwestern, Rutgers, OkSt? Who cares?
November 30, 2025 at 1:31 AM
Sure. But we could still just take a step back and squint and pick 4. It makes the regular season more fun.

Was it fun that UT TAMU didn’t really matter?

Texas wouldn’t have made a small playoff but they would have gotten to kick TAMU out of it.

I believe this opinion to be both bad and boringly desirous of everything being the same.
November 30, 2025 at 1:21 AM
See, I’m the exact opposite. Why does everything have to be homogeneously and loosely the same? Let’s celebrate the regular season like every top tier professional soccer league—which, not for nothing, is the most popular sport.

I think this thing is gonna get built. And then I think it’s gonna get retro fitted into much needed office space and we can all be a bit annoyed with the lack of symmetry but relatively fine with the usefulness.

As god intended

Robbing an entire house but replacing all the things with exact replicas…

I’m old school. I like the BCS era. If you want to make it 4 fine. I just can’t be too bothered about who has had the 9th or 10th best season even if it’s my team.

Mass murder. Stay anonymous
November 30, 2025 at 1:10 AM
I’m not sure Texas would win a game if they made the playoffs.

I’m totally ok with them missing.

But, it is pretty complicated given that we’ve beaten 3 teams ahead of us. And, beaten a team that’s beaten a 4th team ahead of us.

And, in fairness, Florida did actually play very well against us.

Platonic is/was one of my w/food shows.

This season’s Slow Horses, too, as it was by far the weakest season.

The ratios were what was sending me the most.
November 29, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Ok. But you are very intentionally skipping over the part where OSU scheduled us and beat us.

Under covered story:

He’s one of 5-8 players from the same high school that are likely to get drafted this year (Westlake HS, Texas)

Adolescence grabs you immediately and never lets go. Didnt think many things could be more riveting than ep1 but then I got to ep3.

You can check my pinned post (and it’s attached reply) for some recommendations for lesser known tv shows.

It’s such a terrible game. I’ve been dipping in and out of it.

The resume #1 but no way they top UConn…and that’s probably right too even though I’m an Austin boy
