If I recall correctly, at least one of the passages was this one from Bleak House and the college students were somehow hung up on whether Dickens was writing about actual dinosaurs strolling down the street. This is not to say that the problem with the test was using Dickens.

Also, it should be unsurprising that a machine that copies sentences is closer in fidelity than a real writer who is trained NOT to copy sentences.

Though I'm also surprised that the LLM text with "utterly familiar" and "makes you feel like screaming" got high marks for fidelity.
