She/they. Makes things. Has opinions. Probably a socialist. Maybe an anarchist. Definitely anti-fascist.

It's not organized by the democratic party. And sorry they aren't cool enough for you but getting millions of people to engage outside of voting *at all* is more hope for a left leaning movement in the US than I've seen in my lifetime.

Anecdotal, but yeah, I feel like there are a lot fewer people defending party leadership in the replies this time.

I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

The shoes part, specifically, it's bullshit. $65 shoes nowadays are made from plastic and foam. And any job where you are on your feet a significant amount of the time (ie most working-class jobs!) will destroy them in months.

Oh my god, life goals. I don't have (diagnosed?) ADHD but I don't think I've ever correctly predicted how long something will take me.

Why should we give a shit about *your* victory when you keep making it abundantly clear that victory for the establishment democratic party has very little to do with what the people who vote for you actually want or need? Why should we "unite" with you just to get abandoned and sold out?

Which is why most Republicans will think it's great! Except the giving people money part, so they'll roll that back on a couple years...

I honestly think the right has become so contrarian-poisoned that they have a knee-jerk belief in the opposite of conventional wisdom. It can feel bold, exciting, rebellious to be against what everyone else (the sheep!) are for. Similarly SV is drunk on “disruption” and lost the plot on what’s good.

On average, too. So if the 1% gets unimaginable luxury while half of us can't afford housing, that's still a "good economy".

Even if it's just a steady, slow increase in prices, at some point it becomes unliveable for a critical mass of people.

Clothing and furnishings, despite staying about level price wise, have really taken a nosedive in quality, too.

that material safety, dependent on forms and slips, is endangered by in-human testimony. what happens when your primary care provider exports your medical history to ChatGPT? what recourse do victims have when law enforcement lets bots handle incident reports?

Do you think we're stupid? We saw what you just did. You surrendered every bit of leverage, bought by actual people actually suffering, for a promise of future cooperation from a pack of liars. Is it because you're a coward or just selfish enough to sacrifice other people so you won't miss a flight?
