Born in Devon, raised in Cornwall, live on Marmite.
Author. CWA member.

Trad and Indie. Family sagas; crime; archaeological thrillers; mythic fantasy.
Had an insanely busy day, but just had to carve a bit of time out to review this fantastic book, by Sheelagh Aston. Privileged to have read an early draft, as well as the completed novel, and I can tell you this is one writer to be on the lookout for!

My junk mail is now talking to itself... Seems to be taking a while to answer itself though.

I might be being over-sensitive*, but I think this is a massive bloody cheek, from Ticketmaster! No, you can't visit our page, but we'd love your permission to shove our spam down your gullet! 😂

*or just grumpy. Yeah, we'll go with that.

Good to know: my current MC's surname is Drake, and she only lives in Yelverton because it's conveniently on the outskirts of town, on the moors. Just found this little online report on local names:

I know I've asked this before, but WHY do papers do back-to-front headlines like this? And things like: 'house explodes, as fire engines rush to attend.' Is it because they think we'll run out of energy before we get to the end of the sentence, so they're getting the 'good' stuff in first?!

It's taken me a while to work out why most current episodes of #Corrie have left me humming 'Wicked Game,' to myself recently. Finally worked it out.

Watched This City is Ours over the past couple of days - fantastic stuff from the BBC. Not overly brutalised for shock value; outstanding performances from epic cast; an ending ripe for at least a second season... BRILLIANT.
Love a gangland family - am writing one as we speak, so stay tuned!

Gotta love the irony of being encouraged to post the view, which is obscured by the sticker telling you to... post the view.

Author copies arrived of my latest audio book, so I thought I'd take a pic of them all. Mix of formats, but happy to see ALL these hours (160.5 😲 ) of my ramblings, all lined up together!

I think the notes themselves had been written in about 1990 or 91, and I REALLY meant it at the time!
