Things move quickly in politics. The idea of a Sunday broadsheet dedicating it's entire front page to @greenparty.org.uk is huge, and let's be honest, a sign of changing times.

The maths teacher in me is totally nerding out over this! 💚
“If you go back a million minutes, you reach 2023. Go back a billion minutes, you reach the Roman Empire — that’s the scale of inequality we’re living with.”

Zack Polanski on #BBCLauraK discussing inequality and why a wealth tax should be in the budget

This is well worth listening to and OMD how amazing and hopeful that a political leader admits to thinking about everything covered here! Thank you @zackpolanski.bsky.social

This world carries darkness in abundance, shadows that stretch long and cold. Joy is the medicine that mends what breaks, the balm that soothes what aches, the light that refuses to be extinguished. Seek joy in each dawn that breaks—let it be your daily practice, your ritual.

This is why I joined the Green Party ⚧️ - I had such high hopes for this labour government but their betrayal of trans people is unforgivable - power seems to have turned them nasty and you see it across government policies now - hope is better 💚join.greenparty.org.uk
Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the transgender lives lost to violence.

The Green Party stands shoulder to shoulder with transgender people in the face of increasing transphobic rhetoric in our society and politics.

This makes so much sense - even with a wealth tax the mega rich will still get richer just not as fast, surely that’s not a bad thing especially as the payoff is increased funding for public services from which we all benefit.
"A small tax on [multimillionaires and billionaires] would make a big difference to the money we have available."

Ahead of next week's Budget, @adrianramsay.bsky.social makes the case for taxing the wealth of the richest in society to fund our public services.

🇵🇸 a message of hope and solidarity from the @greenparty.org.uk - how can this not have cross party and global support
Today we mark Palestinian Independence Day.

Now more than ever, we call for an end to occupation, justice, and a real path to lasting peace.

Completely agree - @zackpolanski.bsky.social is spot on (again!!) - it’s our BBC and it’s important.

Whatever faults it has are fixable but only if it still exists.

Also can’t overstate the value of BBC radio, a lifeline for some and just great entertainment -love Radio3 @tommckinney.bsky.social
There's lots you can and should criticise the BBC for.

But it's our BBC - and it's important.

Great to speak to CNN - Donald Trump shouldn't have his hands anywhere near our public services.
Zack Polanski on President Trump, "It's difficult to call him anything other than a fool"

"This is sociopathic behaviour"

"He is toxic, misogynistic, racist"

"I'm not a fan of Trump"

Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the last two years.

According to the UN, October was the deadliest month for settler violence since it started keeping track in 2006.

End the occupation.

Happy to know my latest blood donation went to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary - #NHS #GiveBlood such a great service and so important to keep it free to use.
