Exactly what I thought. They were too quick to just shoot him dead. They likely did the facial recognition app that ICE has during his first encounter, and when they realized it was the same person they went out and killed him the second time.

Not religious myself, but this is a very good point about what it means to follow Christ in this dark day and age:
One thing about the Incarnation is that if your duty to God leads you to sacrifice your security/ alienate your neighbours/ fall out with family/ row with the religious authorities/ take non-violent direct action/ be hurt and killed by the forces of empire - He’s not asking anything He hasn’t done.
