Today, we shut down a Bill introduced by OneBC to recall Truth & Reconciliation Day - the words spoken were painful and rooted in denying the history of residential schools.

Enough is enough.

The only recall that needs to happen is a recall campaign of the OneBC MLAs.

This is unacceptable! Vulnerable people being targeted & extorted over social media. This is exactly why we recently amended the Intimate Images Protection Act, to ensure that people, especially young people, can reach out for support & get justice when someone threatens to share an intimate image.

People of Korean heritage have made outstanding achievements and contributions to BC, and any opportunity to celebrate this is a joy. Thank you @paulchoibc.bsky.social for all you do to ensure Korean-Canadian voices and experiences are uplifted through events like this. #KoreanHeritageMonth

Appreciate getting to spend time with our team at the Burnaby DLO today! This space makes it easy for people to get new IDs & license renewals done, while also providing accessible services for those taking a driving test. Grateful for @theicbc.bsky.social’s work to keep everyone safe on our roads.

Unacceptable! X is fighting a BC order to remove a non-consensual intimate image, instead of doing the right thing & removing the image. These harmful images have no place online, anywhere, ever. We’re joining the case to defend BC’s laws & ensure survivors receive real protection, not half measures

Whether helping inform our anti-racism work, providing a safety net for vulnerable people or building connections through volunteering - S.U.C.C.E.S.S. makes a real difference. Grateful for their insights & knowledge that supports services in our communities for newcomers, seniors, families & youth.

Change in action!

My hands up to all those helping the system be safer for victims of intimate partner violence.

The Early Resolution Process is now available at Provincial Courts in North Vancouver, Pemberton, Richmond, Sechelt, & Vancouver Robson Square. This service helps families resolve issues like child & spousal support without going to court, reducing conflict & putting children’s best interests first.

Thank you to all the #FirstNations leaders who took the time to meet during #FNLG2025. I appreciate every meeting this week, hearing exactly what we can do together to advance #reconciliation efforts in communities across BC. I appreciate the insights & collaboration as we do this important work.

It’s spooky season! 🎃👻

We want everyone to keep safety top of mind while you’re out having fun tonight. Over 200 people are injured in crashes on #Halloween every year. #ICBC has put together these safety tips to make sure you and your loved ones get home safe and sound!

This session we tabled our Vaping Product Damages & Health Care Costs Recovery Act. We’ve done this before - taking on the bad-faith actors - & we’ll continue to lead the way in protecting children & families while making corporate wrongdoers take accountability & pay for the public harms they cause

#ICYMI - we’re keeping basic auto insurance rates basic rates stable through to spring 2027. That means seven consecutive years without an increase!

On average, BC drivers are paying about $700 less than what people pay for auto insurance in Ontario, and about $440 less than what Albertans pay.

This afternoon the Intimate Images Protection Statutes Amendment Act received royal assent and was passed into law in BC. Proud of what this legislation will do to strengthen protections and supports for victims of sexual violence.

🎃 The streets are buzzing, joy in the air, trick-or-treaters everywhere, so please take care. Drive slowly, stay alert, & plan ahead, so every ghoul & ghost gets safely to bed. Whether you're behind the wheel or out walking, let's keep the scares on the doorstep - not on our roads 🚗

Thank you Amelia and Misty for sharing your story of what the real life impacts are for victims and their families when intimate images are shared without consent. Regardless what side of the aisle we sit on, this is a non-partisan issue, and victims should always be put first.

Here, like across Canada, people are concerned about the cost of living. Happy to announce that for 7 years in a row, basic auto insurance rates in BC will not increase.

As of July 2024, #ICBC customers pay auto insurance rates $702 lower than rates in Ontario & $440 lower than what Albertans pay.

Thank you Minister @seanfraser.bsky.social for visiting Victoria today, and I appreciate your collaborative leadership on this important work.

The Bail and Sentencing Reform Act reflects what can be achieved when governments work together toward a shared goal - keeping people and communities safe.

Last week, the federal gov announced proposed changes to the Criminal Code:
•Reverse-onus bail in high-risk cases
•Stronger consequences for repeat violent offenders
•Better protections for victims of intimate-partner & gender-based violence
•New tools to address extortion & serious repeat offences

Today’s announcement from the federal government is a major step forward in strengthening public safety across Canada — and we’re proud that British Columbia’s advocacy helped shape it.

Deep in discussions here in AB about the new federal bail reform bill being introduced next week. This bill shows a strong commitment to reforms we want: stronger bail & sentencing laws, & greater protections for victims of gender-based violence. Also spoke with press in BC using a makeshift tripod!
