#nikaDAworldstate I originally wrote this for a qotd (which I thought was excellent and got me really excited because making blorbos clash is my favourite thing about my extensions to my worldstate) but then I got insecure but then I thought nah I won't be ruled by my anxiety again. So here it is
Top: Vanya and Alistair; Branwyn and Anders Bottom: Fern and Cullen, Havran and Lucanis Alistair and Anders: Alistair first heard of Anders from Vanya (to whom he was a good friend, she really liked him), then he saw him in Kirkwall alongside Branwyn and others, but didn't realize it was his lover's friend. Some short time after the start of the mage-templar war, Anders reached out to Vanya again. He and Branwyn seeked refuge at Vigil's Keep and she offered it. At that point, Alistair didn't have a high opinion of Anders after what he had done, but he reluctantly trusted Vanya's judgement. Many times, he disagreed with her about her decisions regarding the friends she kept, and many times she proved that she knew what she was doing. Vanya and Branwyn became friends quickly, and the guys sort of had this "our girlfriends are good friends, we're going to keep it civil, oh wait you're not that bad" thing. These four spend a lot of time together in my canon and even though they sort of become friendly, it's still the weakest relationship in the group. Any other friendship combination in the group is stronger, if that makes sense. Alistair and Cullen: I haven't thought of these two much yet, but there's mutual respect for sure. I think Alistair would give him a headache sometimes, and they'd argue about things, Cullen wouldn't appreciate all his jokes, but bottom line, there's respect. And, they can talk about ex-templary stuff. Alistair and Lucanis: Again, I haven't thought of them much. Learning that he's an Antivan Crow, I bet Alistair would ask Lucanis about Zevran, if he's ever heard of him or met him, though I imagine Lucanis was very young when Zevran left and probably wouldn't know much, but still. Alistair would try. Anders and Cullen: Oh boy. Oh yes. This is messy, I love it. They had not seen each other since Kirkwall. After Trespasser, Fern formally disbanded the Inquisition but kept a small circle to work on things quietly, and she invited Branwyn, Anders, Vanya and Alistair to Skyhold, to also join this new smaller effort. Anders was sceptical: his now wife almost lost her life (and was badly hurt) helping this organization, unforgivable, not to mention that damn ex-templar and Meredith's bootlicker is there, no it doesn't matter he's not a templar anymore, no it doesn't matter he turned against Meredith in the end. Still, Anders went with Branwyn, if only to make sure she is safe and doesn't get sent into some life-threatening left-behind-in-the-Fade situation again. Cullen was also raising concerns to his wife Fern about inviting the mad apostate from Kirkwall. What's he going to do if things don't go his way, blow up Skyhold too? Calling Hawke back Cullen could understand, even if he had his qualms about her too, but Anders was too much of a wildcard for him, an unnecessary risk. Well, both wives thought the boys were overreacting, and insisted on them talking out their differences peacefully in Herald's Rest over some good ale. Maybe Vanya sent Alistair to keep an eye on them. And…well, it worked, sort of. They didn't become friends, I doubt they will ever be friends, but they don't want to kill each other either. Their relationship is more "our wives are good friends, we're going to keep it civil, maybe you're not that bad but no friendship for you, I can't forgive you". Anders and Lucanis: A few weeks after the end of Veilguard, Havran, Lucanis and Harding go down to Ferelden, to what's left of Skyhold. It got severely damaged in my canon, but it still stands, more or less, can be repaired, and is actually one of the most stable places in all of southern Thedas right now. That mage killer angle is a problem and it makes Anders feel nervous and unsafe. He asks if anyone ever put up a contract for his head. Lucanis just laughs. "If they did, you would not be standing here anymore. But consider yourself lucky, I've killed mages for smaller crimes." That doesn't make things less awkward and tense. They unexpectedly bond over a late night coffee, talk about possession, how they manage it, they exchange tips, share their grievances, that sort of thing. Cullen and Lucanis: Okay, look. Cullen tolerates Anders around. Somewhat. It's hard, but over the years, he gets there. He can tolerate Justice. He has him under control. He's not the same Anders that blew up the chantry in Kirkwall, he's much more stable now. Hawke grounds him. But an assassin possessed by literal SPITE? Dating a young woman who could probably teach Sera a thing or two about wreaking havoc? Oh, Maker, give me a break. So yes, he doesn't trust him much, even though Lucanis, when not on a job, is just a chill guy. But I don't think they have to see each other or work with each other too much. Cullen and Fern usually deal with Antiva matters through Josephine anyway.

I will preface this with assuming that the would-be canon Inquisitor, Fern, is still present at the Conclave, gets the Anchor and serves an important role in the Inquisition, she just doesn't lead it because a better candidate has been located.
Top: Vanya Tabris, my Hero of Ferelden, and Branwyn, my Hawke Bottom: Fern Lavellan, my Inquisitor, and Havran Thorne, my Rook When the Inquisition is founded, Vanya has been in a leading position for ten years, so she has experience. Still, she's more a soldier than a politician. Even with her fellow leading Wardens she hardly gets along (and they tend to question her position — sure, she ended the Archdemon ten years ago, but does that really qualify her to be a Warden-Commander for Ferelden). Besides, Inquisition is a much bigger organization than what she is used to leading. She has more of a temper and is less diplomatic than Fern, my canon Inquisitor. So, long story short, there would be issues. She would bring her own Vigil's Keep inner circle with her to Haven/Skyhold, so we'd see characters like Velanna or Oghren again. She'd rely on the Wardens a lot overall, but Corypheus's fake Calling would complicate things terribly. Vanya would likely clash with Wardens under Clarel's command, maybe cause something of a schism among Wardens. Likely even many of her own Wardens would leave if they would feel like Clarel has a better plan. Hearing the "Calling" too, Vanya would struggle mentally. Trying to block it out would lead her to migraines, loss of focus, insomnia, poor judgement and many other problems. Not to mention, Inquisitor AU or not, Vanya is deeply terrified of the Calling. She doesn't want to fall to it, ever. Had she not been requested to lead the Inquisition, she would have been tirelessly searching for a cure. Seeing she cannot be the Inquisitor anymore, she would resign and leave her advisors to it, while she would go into hiding and help Alistair and Hawke investigate. Assuming their research would still lead them to the Adamant Fortress, like in the canon storyline, and they would still end up in the Fade, Vanya would not want either of them to sacrifice themselves and would decide to be the one to stay behind. But if she stays, Alistair would refuse to leave her side. There's no time to argue. Fern and Hawke would run to safety. I guess at this point, Fern would become the Inquisitor even in this timeline. But let's go back to beginning and imagine this instead: After much interrogation, Varric would give Cassandra Branwyn's location. Realistically, Branwyn would refuse to get involved in such a thing, knowing her limits. She's not suited to lead an organization like that. She understands she would be controversial. And too biased. But here we are asking, what if she accepted anyway? Even my canon Inquisition is very pro-mage (look, I'm a mage main and just overall prefer mages lore-wise…shocked gasp), but Branwyn, definitely influenced by Anders (who would tag along for better or worse), would take it to the next level, and people like Vivenne would likely never even join the Inquisition or join and then quickly leave again and fight against it. Branwyn would be even less diplomatic than Vanya and miss out on valuable alliances. Well, she's always been better at making enemies. The advisors would be the ones really keeping the thing together. Barely. I'm not sure if this would be the timeline where Corypheus wins, maybe somehow Branwyn would still beat him even with her fragile Inquisition. But it would certainly be the timeline where she is at her darkest. Maybe this whole ordeal would break her, drive her a little mad, even. She would choose drastic measures to succeed. And Varric? In the end, Varric would not even recognize his friend anymore. She reminds him more of the Knight-Commander Meredith than the woman he went to the Deep Roads with. Lastly, a quick mention of Havran. When the Inquisition is founded, she is thirteen, a little girl living in an alienage with her father and her loathed stepmother and stepbrothers and hating every minute of it. She dreams of being just like the Hero of Ferelden. But…no one in their right mind would make her the Inquisitor at this point, would they? Maybe, if she had the Anchor somehow, they could play up the Herald angle and how she is a pure good child chosen by Andraste, but no one would actually let her lead, she would just be a symbol, and the means to close the Breach. Or…this is the timeline where Inquisition becomes a middle grade Percy Jackson styled adventure where Havran gathers a bunch of young teenagers and preteens and together they defeat Corypheus with the power of friendship and defying adults? Much to consider.

Left: Vanya in DAO Right: Branwyn in DA2 The moment Vanya first laid eyes on Morrigan, she had a whole grand bisexual awakening. She had never considered women before, but she was thrilled to find out that they are an option. With her usual courage, Vanya approached Morrigan and attempted to win her heart. The witch noticed and soon stopped her. For the record, I'm a bi Morrigan truther, Vanya just wasn't her type. They still became very close friends, kind of a mean girls duo that wasted no opportunity to drop a snarky remark, usually aimed at Alistair. He was just so easy to make fun of. So imagine Morrigan's surprise when Vanya, kind of embarrassed, admits to her later on that she may have caught feelings for that stupidly adorable loser. 'tis most unfortunate, bestie. (Text for Vanya's part of this is on the previous picture, I've yapped too much) After three years of having feelings for Anders and ocassional harmless flirting between them that led to nowhere, Branwyn finally decides to risk ruining the friendship and tells him. He admits that he values her and holds some feelings for her too, and that in another time, they could have had something, but he cannot do that anymore, with Justice and everything else going on. Branwyn tells him she understands and tells herself she accepts it. Similarly, Anders attempts to convince himself that that's sorted, over and done. Spoiler: They both lie to themselves and royally suck at it. For a while, Branwyn has this friends with benefits situation with Isabela that distracts her from what she really wants, and they both enjoy this physical thing, but it never goes further and they both prefer it that way. And the opposite situation: Varric had feelings about Hawke for a long time, and perhaps they never really left him, but he settled for friendship. They drunkenly made out once during Branwyn's time of "Anders and I had the talk about how we cannot be together and I'm totally cool with it and I'm definitely not upset", but afterwards, sober, she came to apologize to Varric, saying it wasn't serious and while not thinking straight, she just used him as a distraction and now she feels shitty about it, because he deserves to be treated better than that. "Okay, Hawke, do you need to pour your heart out about Blondie?" he offered. "You're not fooling anyone, you know." And with that, Varric accepted that there's no chance he's making it out of the friendzone…and they drank some more together. Left: Fern in DAI Right: Havran in DATV When Fern woke up in that cell to Cassandra yelling in her face and demanding answers, she was a little intimidated…and a little turned on. She didn't act on it, though. She was incredibly attracted to both Cullen and Cassandra, but like I said before, she thought it was not the time to be getting romantically involved with anyone. Still, an affectionate, flirty comment slipped through here and there, or she stared too long at Cassandra, but the warrior never acknowledged it. For the record again, I am a comp het Cassandra truther, but she had her queer awakening only a couple years after Inquisition. I don't think she ever realized the feelings Fern at one point had for her. I like to think Solas had feelings for Fern, but she simply never thought of him that way. She appreciated his insight and friendship, but that was about it. From that first day, she only had eyes for Cullen (and Cassandra, for a time, and she also found Josephine incredibly attractive). I wouldn't call this unrequited feelings, as there was something mutual happening between Havran and Taash. When Taash pushed Havran to that wall, it confused her, being demisexual and kind of slow about these things. She wanted to be friends, well, maybe more than friends, well…it was all just too fast, and if there was something, she let it sizzle out. A passionate love like that was something new to Havran and she just got scared.

Here's how to get rid of Copilot completely from your computer (1/3) ABI Bouhmaida @forgoodcode 1/ Settings App > Personalization > Taskbar > Other System Tray Icons > Switch "Microsoft 365 Copilot App" Off This hides Copilot from your taskbar (9) ABI Bouhmaida @forgoodcode 2/ Press Win + R > Type in ‘regedit’ > Navigate to "HKEY _CURRENT_USER\ Software \ Policie s\Microsoft\ Windows" > Right-click on the "Windows" Key > New > Key > Name the new key "WindowsCopilot’ > Right-click on the new key EY > DWORD (32-bit) Value @forgoodcode 3/ > Name the value "TurnOffWindowsCopilot’ > Double-click the name of the value > Set the "Value Data" to 1 > Restart your computer Congrats! Copilot is now completely gone from your computer. Hope this helps
