If Mandelson is being officially investigated for insider trading now, are we going to open up that investigation to previous governments too? Will anyone be looking at Truss leaking the mini budget to the hedge funds?

Climate change is literally causing migration, but the parties who want to stop migration also want more fossil fuel use. They're conveniently also being paid by the fossil fuel companies. What a strange coincidence...

I get why Reform would want a candidate from Bangladesh. I get why their supporters don't want it (though I don't agree).

But why would a person here with indefinite leave to remain, want to run for a party that wants to deport people with indefinite leave to remain?

Happy #HumanRightsDay!

Starmer has chosen to mark it by... kicking off negotiations on how to water down our human rights 🤯

The ECHR protects all of us, so we should all be worried about changes that amount to "human rights... except for those people"
European nations to begin major talks on ECHR migration rule changes
The talks are the most significant sign yet that international human rights law could be reinterpreted.

Had exactly zero knowledge that @randomhand.co.uk are booked to play tonight, 20 minutes from my house. Even if there are tickets available, which doesn't sound likely, there's no chance of me getting someone to babysit now.

Perhaps someone can help me with this, I'm just trying to understand. Why are Labour trying to out Reform Reform? Every analysis of Labour's decisions I can find is that they are chasing voters that won't vote for them and ignoring those who will. Do they not have access to the same media?

I think I've worked out why British politics is so shit.

We haven't had a prime minister with a beard in over 100 years.

Beards have come very much fashionable again over the last decade or so and Westminster clearly hasn't kept up to date with the trend.

The name 'Abaddon' is always pronounced like Abba-Don, but seeing it written before hearing it, I always figured it was like uh-ba-dun, like "he's a bad'n"

It makes sense too, it's always reserved for bad characters like demons, and they're bad'ns!
