We must make ourselves and our alliance stronger than the US, Russia, and China simultaneously. It will not be an easy task nor will it be an impossible task. The future of Democracy and the rule of law rest squarely on our shoulders and how we respond in the face of this multipolar triad of evil.

Over half the electricity produced in both the National Electricity Market and WA's Wholesale Electricity Market came from renewable electricity in the past month.

This is putting downwards pressure on wholesale prices.

Meanwhile Australia opens massive new fossil fuel export projects with vastly more emissions than all the pacific states combined.

Australia is an out-of-contol petrostate, drowning its Pacific neighbours, and should not be allowed to host COP31.

My amendments involved:
* Climate financial risk disclosures
* A duty of care to future generations
* Assessment of cumulative impacts
* Fair appeal rights under enviro orders

And as you drive through Australian mining towns with half the shops that are closed you think where did all that mining money go?
Great questions. Why are the extractors and burners of fossil fuels not paying up.

Why do we pay ($15bn this year) billions in subsidies every year to fossil fuels?

This is what happens when you play groups off against each other, Minister Watt. Nobody is happy and you end up looking foolish.
Here's an idea, Minister Watt, activate your heart and spine, respect the advice of environment, climate and conservation experts, and work with the Greens to get the EPBC Act reform package passed. Your job is to be Minister 'for' the environment, remember?
