📢 New blog post! Running Node.js 🐢🚀 in a Hugging Face 🤗 Space:

blog.tomayac.com/2025/11/03/r...

I found out about Hugging Face Spaces and that it supports Docker, which allowed me to create an evergreen template for running Node.js in a Hugging Face Space.

My talk from @nordicjs.com is available on youtube🤗
“I just wanted to explore what’s possible in the browser. With HTML, CSS, JS, and now AI, LLMs and machine learning, the tools we can use are endless.”

Back from @nordicjs.com, there are many, many impressions to process. It was my first time at @nordicjs.com. In fact, it was my first time in Stockholm or even Sweden. But it certainly won't be my last!

Don't worry. I won't be posting every PR here. But yesterday, my first PR was merged into Transformers.js 🎉🥳.
The first of many😊.
Its not huge, but it solves a problem I faced myself when setting the temperature to 0 when working with LLMs.

Temperature zero issue by nico-martin · Pull Request #1431 · huggingface/transformers.js
added a check that sets generation_config.do_sample to false if temperature=0

Do you remember #Jarvis, the AI Assistant from Iron Man?
I just built one entirely in #JavaScript as an #MCP-Client powered by #TransformersJS. It's a local-first assistant that runs completely in the browser on your machine. No API calls, no cloud dependency!

Nico Martin @nico.dev, Machine Learning Engineer at @hf.co & GDE in AI + Web, is joining Nordic.js! His talk “Look ma, no hands! Multimodal AI-Agents in the Browser” shows how real AI runs client-side. No cloud, no install. 🚀

Awesome Conference in an awesome City. What more could you ask for? 😍
🤖Build an AI agent in the browser — with personality, memory & autonomy!

@nico.dev will show how RAG + function calling + WebGPU/WebAssembly/WebBluetooth make it possible — fully offline & private.

Had this on my list for quite some time: installing #Linux on one of my old laptops. So here we go. #Omarchy on my 10y+ Lenovo Thinkpad.
Before it was suuuper slow and barely usable with Windows 10, now its actually quite nice😊

In one of my #WebAI demos I switched from React to @preactjs.com. That means around 40KB less to download. Instead of 7'131'943 KB its now just 7'131'903 KB 🎉.

Tomorrow I will be at #BärnerJSTalks and show a few updates on KITT. For example, with #TransformersJS I have reduced the initial response time from about 8sec to just one second!

Small LLMs (like in this case #Qwen3 4b) can be tricky to work with. Some times you just need to be persistent. Very persistent.

Sometimes I feel bad for my non-developer friends. They will never experience the satisfaction of refactoring a junk of poorly typed JavaScript (FlowJS) to TypeScript🤤
