Only 30 years... but an eternity for Lucifer, still dancing under the closed eyes of Paradise.
Elend are first and foremost a duo rooted in neoclassical music and dark ambient. Their second album “Les Ténèbres du Dehors”, released in 1996, made a particularly deep impression on me at the time with its opulence, fury and eerie vocals.

In standard scientific reports in psych 96% of first mentioned main hypotheses are supported. In Registered Reports, this is 46%. The 96% is clearly biased (given true H1 rate and power). Lack of transparency means we do not know the true baserate.

41 consecutive days of rain in Exeter and no sign of it stopping. 😭
It has rained every day in Exeter (and I think all of England) since Jan 1. As today is Feb 9, I believe makes 40 days — so we’ve officially reached Biblical levels of rain.

An article in the New York Review of Books takes an extreme stand on biological sex, failing to define it and ultimately arguing that you're whatever sex you say you are.

NYRB article attacks the biological definition of sex holding with definitions based on self-identification

My recent experience of London nurses, neglecting to clean and feed elderly patients, suggests that focus should instead be on improving nurse pay and performance.
