My apologies. I didn’t look properly at the logo in your profile, but I understand now.

As he makes clear Alistair was despairing of the direction Starmer has taken Labour. By joining the Greens now, he has done so at a time when voters will be able to give a verdict at the all out elections in May

I look forward to defending the record of the Greens punching above our weight in opposition in Newcastle over these last eighteen months and hearing from lots of new Green candidates who have been working hard in their communities.

Meanwhile, how many Reform
councillors have stood down now…?

There will be an election. As the all out elections are in May, it is not possible to have a by election as we are within six months of the election. If Alistair had stood down, there would just be a vacancy until May.

Voters across Newcastle will get a chance to have their say on all of us in May.

When you call 999 for the code, the Fire & Rescue Service are alerted and can reach the river fast from Byker Fire Station. By holding onto the rope, you can keep trying until you reach someone in trouble - improving the chance of saving a life.

Stay safe near the water!

Indeed! I was speaking with residents yesterday who were most affected by this in Byker. Thankfully no one was physically harmed but it’s been terrifying for many. We need change on this before next year.
