Good question. The design of these Christmas trees is from a book of scroll saw patterns by Dan Wilckens which in to He refers to this design as Winter Scene Shadow Box. From what I can find I think a shadow box is meant to be a box for displaying 3D objects.

I am reminded of those old bootleg studios like Vídeo Brinquedo, and Dingo Pictures. I never thought something would come along and lower the bar of bootleg media.

🧵 ...not a great idea as it would have been better if the corners were part of the wood rather than glued on. At least blocks seem to sit flush in the corners.
