Late last night in my favourite part of Amsterdam, the Jordaan.

Craig was in Prague before dropping into Amsterdam yesterday afternoon for dinner and brought me the most fantastic gift! This is a salt and pepper shaker, hand crafter in Prague, and the most beautifully and clever designed such thing I've ever seen.
Ceramic salt and pepper shaker which was hand crafted. It looks like an indented circle, on top of which a another smaller circular shape sits that is like a little cushion and fits into the first. The bottom is the pepper shaker with three holes on the edge, and the top is for the salt with one hole in the middle. The top part is beautifully decorated with elegant motives of leaves and branches. View from almost above. Ceramic salt and pepper shaker which was hand crafted. Our high-flying friend Craig was over in Europe and decided to make a quick stopover in Amsterdam! We had dinner at Cannibale Royale in the Jordaan last night.

Walked past this fantastic piece of art by Streetart Frankey today, it is one of our famous Amsterdammers: Henri Pronker, also known as the naked skater! Henri used to skate all over Amsterdam in his g-string, often on his way to work, even in winter! I used to see him skating past me on the tram.

Raymond has already hung some of the art we bought today in our kitchen! Emma Gandolfi's work is next to the FGB piece, and The Lizard Guy is still to go on the wall but looks great on the shelf too.

Bought more art for the house at Bazarre Artistique today! Works by Amsterdam-based Italian street artist The Lizard Guy, Italian illustrator Emma Gandolfi also based in Amsterdam, Finish glass artist Suvi, and Raymond's new hat by MagiekeMutse from Amsterdam!

We visited this year's edition of Bazarre Aritsique at the Oosterkerk! A gathering of street artists, creators, makers, illustrators, and cool people in general.

Raymond upcycled some leftover wood and made book binding equipment! A stand for stitching the spine together and a small press.

Had a great time at the opening of Edo Rath’s exhibition at Nicholas Groente and Fruit in Amsterdam! Edo is one of my favourite Dutch (street) artists and we bought a piece for our wall at home, though it will hang at the exhibition until January, so you can still go and see the collection!

Look who came down to see me at my desk today! One of my favourite four-legged co-workers, Toby! He is five months old now and helps his human do a great job creating TV commercials and films in our editing suite!

The Dutch celebrate ‘Sinterklaas’ today (St. Nicholas day which is actually tomorrow), and I brought some traditional treats to the office! Gevulde speculaas cake, chocolate frogs, mice, and coins!
