Note: The court ruled that Texas violated the 14th and 15th Amendments by discriminating on the basis of race when drawing its new Republican gerrymander. So this opinion will not be fatally undermined by the Supreme Court's impending blow to the Voting Rights Act; it has an independent rationale.

I have a harder and harder time justifying having lefty queer people in general engage with a party that is so hostile to them. I hope we can find a way to bring them in to not just Stonewall, but the party as a whole. It’s not too late, but we don’t have a lot of time left either. It’s now or never

My fears are bigger and deeper after tonight. Trans and non-binary people are few and far between in party leadership (there’s 3 of us- me, AP Weston of the Progressive Caucus, and Bibi Black of the MPLS Senior Caucus). There’s not all that many more actively involved around the state.
