I see why all the merino wool stuff I was looking at on eBay mentioned moisture wicking and staying fresh.

Got these vintage (from the time they were still made in Canada) Sorel boots cheap on eBay. They’re in fantastic shape. They were either never worn or are a true buy-it-for-life.

That was my experience last year! 10° in Vermont and snowing? Not too bad! 30° and snowing in New Orleans? My bones feel like they’re going to shatter.

It doesn’t really cut down on single-use plastic, but it’s something useful to hand out should Mardi Gras krewes be looking to pivot away from so many plastic beads.
