This is your first experience with Zebra? Amazing! Everything considered, @uheplugins.bsky.social is prob the best plugin company out there. Everything sounds very high-quality with well-considered & intuitive interfaces + really clean design. Z2 was first plugin to do wavetable synthesis well, IMO.

The breadth and depth of this update is incredible. Love all the new modulation stuff especially.

That is very strange - it (the hardwax.com website) was the top hit for me querying all three terms

Honestly, I could go on for days about the labels I collect but Fax seemed the most noteworthy

I have REF 001-006, REF 010 & REFCD1-3. Great label, kinda fell off collecting when I switched from playing in chillout rooms to the jungle rooms around '95

Given their scarcity, luck is *always* involved ;-)

You wear it well, sir!

My wife & son are headed to Japan next week, any recommendations for shops in/around Shinjuku with decent Fax label selections? Hoping to track down the last missing pieces in my collection...

It's amazing how much credibility is granted *by default* to extremely mid bottle blondes. Before I even watched this clip, I knew there would be tears. Nuzzi is so calculating, she's probably got a line item for crying in her interview prep template.

BTW, have you ever read this article about how Music-X was built? Goes into great detail on the Amiga's MIDI limitations, and is just a lovely story about a bygone era. One of my all-time favorite bits of writing on music tech dreamertalin.medium.com/music-x-b4ab...
Music-X
Music-X was the name of a popular Midi sequencer program that I created for the Commodore Amiga in 1988 and which was published by…

You might try looking into the PiStorm accelerator, too. SD card access of course, but I also believe you can just transfer the files over the network if you want (and also really beef up your Amiga experience if actually working on the Amiga is something you want to do).

Do you have old Amiga floppies you need to use?

Re: the USB, can't remember if I ran into that issue, but it's at least worth a try. Unfamiliarity with OS was a big challenge initially - I found that going with a distro like @amikit.bsky.social really helped, top-notch support, friendly community.

If you're looking to dip your feet, there's some great Amiga emulators out there w/MIDI support. Music-X, Bars & Pipes, Octamed, et al led to an obsession that resulted in me owning an Amiga 500 & 2 1200s (plus numerous accelerators) One of the better rabbit holes I've gone down in recent memory.

Years ago during the blogging heyday, there was a great discussion on what the approval floor was for the crazies. The key sentence was:

"I think you have to assume a 27% Crazification Factor in any population."

I think about this at least once a week.

Seems like Jeffries started off following the risk-averse, corporate-friendly messaging advised by the big loser consultants. At some point he saw the risk, now trying to course correct with mixed results. His big problem is, primary voters are highly-engaged, have longer memories. Not out of woods.

Speaking to your original point, the fact that some men don't seem to comprehend how "professional appearance" can contribute to the success or failure of a business transaction/relationship suggests either oppositional defiant disorder or immaturity, neither of which inspires confidence.

She actually didn't say that at all. She said that male clients who show up for meetings dressed in shorts involving commercial real estate are juvenile, which seems pretty specific.

Some friendly advice: working on your reading comprehension might also help with emotional self-regulation.

I posted elsewhere in Tom's thread on the subject, so my reply here is more addressing my confusion as to why people get hostile and personal -seemingly by default- on a platform that has no mechanisms that reward conflict.
