I can’t see many employers objecting to this. Those that do aren’t good employers. Same as the ones moaning about min. Wage. If you can’t afford to pay it then you don’t have a viable business. Harsh but true.

I think this is really fair. I’ve employed lots of people over the years and having a short grace period at the beginning for both parties is a good thing. Sometimes someone starts a job and it really doesn’t work out for either side. 24 mths is far too long but 6 seems fair with protection still.

It’s actually making me laugh now as it’s just because they’d already written the script for “Reeves breaks manifesto and now everyone is calling for her to resign” and they didn’t come up with anything new.

Because there’s not much else to complain about. They don’t want to moan about kids being lifted out of poverty or millionaire property owners paying a bit more so they’ve settled on shouting about that. 🙄
