That’s interesting. I think I’ve always felt like death would just happen and it’s never bothered me (I’m sure it will when I’m nudging up against it). But my craving for social identity has always felt like a desire for something I’ve never quite had. Experience is messy and complicated

I grew up as a hardcore kid, so lyrics have always been important to me. I can sort of be ok with not understanding them in some genres. But everywhere, vocal style is hugely important to my assessment of a band, and poorly executed vocals for the style will cause me to nope out on an album quickly
