I'm glad this kind of thing gives people the opportunity to get rid of guns they've inherited or don't want but you can get more than what the cops are offering and the gun doesn't get dismantled or crushed or melted down afterwards. Take old guns to a gunshop, they'll offer a fair rate for them.
