Why do you envy them? From the news I’ve gathered, they are quite poorly treated.

The US has anti-immigrant streak. The Irish, the Poles. The Italians. They all met with discrimination.

But they blended in, within a generation. Being black follows you everywhere. It’s a marker.

And yes, I get that this is an over-simplification, because the money collected would obviously go towards cleanup (and not public education). BUT, if the Alberta govt fails to collect that money, this shoes just how much $$$ the public/taxpayer would be on the hook for. #ABLeg #ABPoli

It's important for Albertans to understand that if the Alberta government forced oil & gas companies to pay what they owe for cleanup (~$320 Billion), that amount of money could DOUBLE our K-12 education budget AND fund public education (at that 2x budget) for 16 years!!! #ABLeg #ABPoli
