I will admit, I love Times New Roman. I love serif fonts in general. Something about serifs makes it easier for me to read (unless it's on a screen), and I also love the little details. But this is just... pandering to a base that's filled with vitriol and idiocy in about equal measure.

I left tech in 2021 after 35 years. I don't miss tech at ALL. But lord do I miss the paycheque...

Thanks! My wife seems to like it. It didn't feel like my finest work, exactly, but it was a lot of fun to make. Started with some old scrap I melted down and rolled to the thickness I needed for the smaller gems, and then cut out a circle. Took a star map and made a sticker out of it to trace.

In theory, Kroger here carries them now and again. We have to hit them today or tomorrow for some groceries, so I’ll check. Not a HIGH chance (they’re SO rare now), but who knows.

Once you put a specialty market segment tag on a product, it triples the price. A hand plane? $35. A WOODworker's hand plane? $150-300. A metal file? $10. A machinst's metal file? $80. A bench vise? $40. A JEWELER'S bench vise? $200. Etc, etc.

because reflections are usually static unless the light changes. This 'solves' that problem for jewellery videos with flashing lights.

The price? $450. But ON SALE NOW for only $300!!

You know what else solves this problem? A magnifying glass and some cheap Xmas lights.

I mean come on... 3/end

Their newest gadget? The 'GemSparkle,' which is essentially a ring light around a magnifying glass, and the ring light has individual LEDs that turn on and off.

When taking pics or videos of jewellery, it's hard to show sparkling reflections, 2/
