Ended up getting the Galaxy Tape Echo, which turned out to be a very versatile machine. It’s capable of a lot of weirdness. Should be fun to play around with.

So many amazing pieces of gear. But even having just a small piece of the studio would have been inspiring.

It’s a big problem in the illustration community. I’m friends with a lot of pro artists who have work going back decades, who post process videos, who protest AI loudly & STILL are accused of using it. AI is ruinous, but so are witch hunts. Ppl need to be super careful with the accusations.

100% agree, which is why I rarely stream anymore. If I like something I buy the album & enjoy it on a file-playing device. (I’ll also buy it on vinyl if I really love it.) I’m tired of trading convenience for quality, and of indulging the exploitative aspects of streaming.

Saw Midge Ure about a year ago, killer show. I don’t remember him playing Visage stuff - not surprising - but still, what a fun night.

Seeing him IDed as Kevin Crompton is wild and really dates this clip. Such an amazing musician and a real inspiration to so many others - including myself. Sad to hear his cancer’s back, I hope he has a smooth treatment and recovery.

I jumped to Tidal a couple years ago, and while I’m not sure how much better it REALLY is, its pile of sins can’t possibly be as large as Spotify’s. I don’t even know what Spotify Wrapped is, but I can already tell it’s gonna make me cringe or possibly vomit. Or hey, why not both!
