In my inbox tonight… $2k! Nope!

I have these and a variety of color correction and effects gels in my light kit. Amazon has many far less expensive options. In a pinch, use whatever’s on hand. Binder clips and a sheet of copier paper can add density to the inner diffuser of a soft box.

Just saw a copy of that print for sale if anyone is interested. Actually a LOT of really nice prints up for sale. Tempted.

This one has been doing the heavy lifting for the last six months

To get fall you need to “drop” the bed. Push in the chrome support arms on either side of the bed/body and the bed can lower about 15°. You then tilt the lens back to make things parallel. That’s max fall. Then use rise to adjust as needed. This is a super speed, but works about the same.

New ride from Canada! Glad I got it now. In a few days it might cost 35% more. It’s going to be tough on these small businesses.

Stealth cat is:
A: Guarding a Hasselblad Flexbody
B: Ensuring a Hasselblad Flexbody is covered in cat hair
C: Pretending to be a chameleon
D: All the above

I have a Model 5 that I still use a few times a month. This one came out a little after the one you’re describing with the different processing cards. The tank heaters went out. So now I have it set up for room temp b/w processing. All my color work is now done with a Jobo.

A complete brain fart of lens design. Sony’s fancy G Master 70-200 has a lens mount alignment marker that is the same color as the lens. Impossible to see in the field. I’ve resorted to a low tech fix. Otherwise, it has proven to be a really nice lens.

Hello tariffs!

Love shift lenses. Should absolutely work with an FA. My 35 mounted to an F100 without doing anything special. I’d call them non-AI. No rabbit ears and no index tab/notch on the aperture ring.

Here's my contribution to #FolderWeek
Used my 4x5 Speed Graphic. Hand held, rangefinder focused and composed with the viewfinder. Such a quick and easy way to work. Used #FP4Party #believeinfilm

This is a 35mm scan with the V750 using a custom holder. Couldn’t get anything close to this with the Nikon scanner. Should note this was using a $47 lens so nothing too special about that.

Look at the ratings. I use the med school pharmacy in my town. Absolutely the best.

Either of you ever use an F2 with motor drive. That is Chonky! Takes 10 AA batteries and consumes them quickly. Somehow feels so right. Arca L-bracket for extra chonkyness.

Doing a little more additive separation photography, aka #trichrome #believeinfilm

I use one of these with my 300/2.8 and monopod. Would easily handle lenses larger than that. It’s actually proven to be useful in many situations. Very smooth and sturdy.

At the suggestion of @jessicaeaton.bsky.social, testing out a new filter pack for my additive separation photography (aka #trichrome).
Very busy week coming up, so may be a while before I see the results.

lol… Trying this out for the first time. Half the price of the alternative.

4x5 environmental portraiture has become a very expensive endeavor. This is getting harder and harder to justify.

Today’s project. 100mm square filters are way more convenient if you use multiple systems and need a bunch of different sizes. Trouble is, they are getting hard to find and have become very expensive. Made an adapter to let me add 82mm filters to the mix. They slide in and out for quick changes.

John Sexton’s book Recollections, has an extensive section tech data and “photographers notes.” I love that it’s included.
