A new take on the Demi Trainer. Re-shot in the photo booth to better capture the urban/night camouflage and the light sponge chipping for weathering.

1/72 Tamiya F/A-18 Hornet. I remember it being a fiddly build, but it was a great learning experience as my first modern aircraft. A (too) clean look.

Resuming work on this Demi Barding. Custom scheme inspired by a mech from another franchise, can you guess? Started this a long time ago, hopefully will finish this time.

EG Nu Gundam request by a friend. A heavily weathered finish. I focused on making the wear look scale-appropriate. Used two-layer chipping on the blue armor for added depth.

友人からの依頼で製作のEG νガンダム。強めのウェザリング。見た目の面白さとスケール感を意識。紺色パーツには「二段チッピング」を施し、ダメージの深さを表現しました。

Revisiting the Rookie Military Wizard Mars (PR Productions) with better lighting. Applying camo to a character model was a challenge. The organic shapes are far more complex than mecha.

Rookie Wizard Mars from PR Productions, painted with a custom camo pattern. The skin color parts are the only non painted parts (they were still top coated with Gaia Notes Ex-Flat). This was in order to preserve the original faceplate (no decals were included in the kit). Rookie Wizard Mars holding a handgun to go along her new militaristic look. The gold parts, painted with Mr.Hobby C9 Gold, were not top coated with matte to preserve their contrasting shine with the rest of the build. Rookie Wizard Mars, nonchalantly trotting along. Her face is adorable. The original kit provided a clear sphere for the staff in two parts but I selected to have it turned into some kind of jewel.

A 1/35 scale model of a Soviet T-55A tank. The model is finished in a clean, high-contrast dark green with dramatic color modulation shading. It features white tactical stripes on the turret, inspired by 1968 Operation Danube markings (Real stripes were hastly brushed on and were not this clean ... The numbering is not correct either since I just used the one in the kit). A 1/35 scale model of a Soviet T-55A tank, side view. The rubber tracks were glued under tension to replicate the characteristic sag of metal tracks. A 1/35 scale model of a Soviet T-55A tank, rear view. Small improvements such as the addition of external fuel lines and texturing on the turret were made.

Side view of the model. The blue tank shines brightly, as well as the various parts painted using metallic colors. The chrome parts were especially difficult to paint for me, using Mr.Hobby Plate Silver NEXT (unfortunately discontinued). View of the 1/12 scale Honda CB400 model from the front. The image showcases the intricate wiring, the different shades of metallic paints involved. The overall look was kept clean to make the impression of a motorcycle that is loved and kept in showroom condition but still ridden. 3/4 front view of the Honda CB400 model. The exhaust being yellowed by the high temperatures was replicated by lightly spraying Mr.Hobby C48 Clear Yellow. Close-up view on the engine of the Honda CB400 model. Light weathering using Tamiya Panel Liner Black was done on the carburetors and the engine. The radiator was dry brushed using Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver (enamel) to make the small details pop. The contrast in finish can be seen between the matte seat, hi-gloss tank and the shine of various metallic paints.

MSM-07 Z'Gok. This was one of the first kits where I began practicing with an airbrush, using Tamiya Acrylics mostly and oils for weathering. How weathered do you like your kits?

Front view of the Z'gok. The whole kit was airbrushed using Tamiya Acrylics. Preshading was used for the gradient, which is too prominent in some areas. For the weathering, chipping was done using a fine brush and rust/oil streaks were done with artist oils, this is a classic technique for AFV models, seems to work for Gunpla as well. Shot with soft, three-point DSLR lighting. Close-up view of the upper part of the Z'Gok. The mono eye was painted on using the out-of-box sticker used as a mask. The mask was kept until matte coating, which kept it shiny to replicate sensor lens glare. The iron claws were painted using Vallejo Metal Color 77.702 Duraluminium and were kept shiny. Rear view of the Z'Gok. Leftover numbering decals from an airplane kit were used to apply the number 202 on the backpack and right hand arm. The airbrushed gradient is visible and emphasizes the different parts and forms of the mech design. Streaking using artist oils were focused around details.

Cockpit floor and seat. Seat belts were scratch-built using flattened solder wire, allowing to add wrinkles and bends. Main color used was Mr. Hobby C351 FS34151 Zinc-Chromate Type I. Tamiya Panel Liner Black and colored pencils used for weathering. Assembled cockpit, showing the instrument panel. The instrument panel was only primed with Mr. Hobby Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 black. White buttons were then picked up using colored pencils. To simulate the dial glasses, drops of Tamiya X-22 Clear were used. Another view of the assembled cockpit. The levers on the side wall can be seen. Those were painted using Vallejo paints.

My first 1/48 aircraft, built about six months ago. Finally took the time to set up the DSLR and capture some proper shots. Far from perfect, but I learned a lot through this build.

半年前に製作した、自身初となる1/48スケール機です。 やっと撮影のセットを組むことができました。 完璧ではありませんが、多くの学びがあった思い出深い作品です。
