Potatoes, shallots and radish seeds are in the ground; lovage and tarragon survived the winter. Found two morels while planting, and have therefore revised my dinner plans.

The cover of the textbook for my Finnish class looks an awful lot like an advertisement for an anti-anxiety drug. Will learning Finnish cure my anxiety? I can hope.

The cookbook also has a handy pronunciation guide to English culinary words for Finnish speakers. It's 5 pages long.

Recipes are very densely presented but I appreciate any cookbook that starts off with 'A Nice Pancake'. Also cool that the recipes are bilingual. This is only the 2nd bilingual cookbook in my collection, the other being Estonian.
