SEN. KELLY : “They informed me of this in a tweet because this is not about the law. This is about the media cycle, and intimidation… We basically repeated the uniform code of military justice, and they're saying that's in violation of it. It's absurd. Comical.”

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

It’s always a surprise to see how my grocery order was interpreted, and how many little mistakes I made. (I have an extra 2 lbs of grapes to share, with my neighbor.) And somebody doesn’t know her pear varieties. Other than that, today’s order was almost perfect!

Here’s your hot courtesy tip for today. When thanked, say “you’re welcome” “My pleasure” or “Happy to do it.”

DON’T say “No problem.” Why not? Marketers explain that when you start a sentence with “no,” folks only hear the NO. It shuts down connecting.

It seems lately that every time I log in to a website, using my password on my phone or iPad, I get an email saying, “Nani, did you just log in?” Yes, yes in fact I did just log in. Oddly, Centurylink bounces around my emails to lot of different servers, making them look suspicious.

My friend had knee replacement surgery this week, so we friends are rotating in to help her as she gradually gets back on her feet—literally. Others provided meals and loaned rehab equipment. I’m in the minority amongst us because I still have all-original joints!

People who live nearby are still hearing or figuring out that Panther has died. They say, “We knew something was wrong when we didn’t see the 2 of you out walking together.” Then there are tears in their eyes—and in mine. I’m reminded that together we were part of the neighborhood’s fabric.

Did y’all hear Terry Gross interview author of book on Kash Patel today? It was great. Have a listen:
How Kash Patel is roiling the FBI and changing its mission
New Yorker writer Marc Fisher says Patel became FBI director without senior law enforcement experience because of his loyalty to Trump and willingness to seek retribution for his perceived enemies.

@upvotegreyhounds.bsky.social I went back and read about Thomas’ end. Terribly sad. My first grey was a shy one. They are extra-special hounds once you gain their trust.

A reminder: The Attorney General of the United States should be the people's lawyer, not the president's personal attorney. The Department of Justice should act to protect the public, not just the occupant of the Oval Office and his political allies.

Yes this is Olympia… I just saw a guy ride by on a moped. He was wearing a pink, fluffy, ruffled dress and a bonnet! The dress had filled with air as he rode. It was quite a sight!

The House just voted almost unanimously to release the full Epstein Files.

Now it’s on to the Senate, and then to the White House to be signed.

It’s time for justice and accountability for all of the brave survivors — and I’ll continue fighting for them.
