Springtails going gaga over an apple core. I also caught two of my worms trading DNA, and I didn't realize it until after I took them. First time seeing a lot of things today!

RBC under a 40x microscope, unstained. If you look closely, a couple of cells have already gone through hemolysis; cell death.

Those little dots on a tomato are Springtails! They're essential for terrarium health, as they provide the service of breaking down fungus and rotting matter. They also help clean up after my Armadililidae, who themselves break down decaying leaflitter.

I remember when my old facility received our first ECMO. We had two cardiologists in the whole network who knew how to use it. The first patient to use it had a fully occluded LM and was found unresponsive at home. After rapid intervention, he ended up making a full recovery with no lasting issues.
