We adopted her as a baby #cat but she chose me and changed me forever. I now understand, you don't choose to #love someone/an animal, they choose you.
24hrs ago we asked a kind doctor to end her suffering and pain... inflicting it in endless amounts on us instead because we loved her all her life, never wanted to lose her like this and were so devastated we could not give her (still only a baby #cat) a new lease on life.

JPMORGAN: “.. an adverse scenario of 25% tariffs on USMCA would push US CPI up 1%-pt and growth towards 1%ar — enough to close the projected growth gap with the Euro area.”

I was particularly struck by the targeting of studies related to climate and migration. I mean when did the mass movement of people ever create conflict?
The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) is ending all of its funding for social science research, stopping 91 ongoing studies related to threats such as climate change, extremism, and disinformation. #AcademicSky

What was the campaign promise to MAGA again...?
“UMich consumer inflation expectations for the next 5-10 years now up to 3.5% ... we haven't seen that since April 1995.

The increase over the past 2 months has been the largest since February 2009.”

I helped write the Biden-Harris AI executive order – the one that President Trump has repealed.

The EO was a first step, but it was the most comprehensive policy governing AI in the US.

Like others, I've been sounding the alarm about the dangers of this exact moment.

A short 🧵 on what this means:

Jan 20, 1961. A blizzard the day before. Temperatures well below freezing. Without a coat or hat, JFK gave a speech we still quote today. Robert Frost, 86, recited a poem. Steinbeck and Hemingway and Rothko were among the VIPs. A million people gathered in the cold to hear it.
This is the precedent.

Jack Smith's last line in Volume 1:

"Indeed, but for Mr. Trump's election and imminent return to the Presidency, the Office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial."

Special Counsel Report Says Trump Would Have Been Convicted in Election Case
The report, which said the special counsel’s office stood “fully behind” the merits of the prosecution, amounted to an extraordinary rebuke of the president-elect.

Lemme be exceedingly clear:

The party that lost the super majority to worst candidate in history needs a dramatic change in leadership.

It doesn't matter is this candidate was propped up by the oligarchy.

Stop pretending it's business as usual and fall on your swords for once, for chrissakes.

Trump today, to Time magazine: actually, it's not that simple: “It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."
