I’m one of the imprints under Bindery Books: binderybooks.com/publishing/

My imprint, Mareas, is focusing on well-written thematically resonant genre fic prioritizing marginalized authors. In June we published The Unmapping, in September we are publishing Orange Wine, and 2026, Our Sister’s Keeper.

Well I would hope to sell the book to people who want to read litrpg but without the bigotry. It wouldn’t be on the shelf next to Austen!

You are projecting onto a creative writing project that hasn’t even started where I haven’t even written a single word. I appreciate seeing the genre unclothed might be difficult for you, but I was pretty clear about the scope here and what this was in response to.

I also talk in the video about the limit of my own skill. I never said it would be easy, or talked about creating something that could sell, or anything that would make it seem like I was belittling the work you, personally, put into your book.

Hi. There is a portion of my video where I clearly talk about the difference between what romantasy SHOULD be, and specify that many smaller titles and lesser known works are what people consider romantasy should be, and how the handful of most successful titles, which I LIST, define the genre.
