This study examines the influence of e-learning on ESL learners’ satisfaction, focusing on critical factors such as instructor interaction, student collaboration, and learning content, with e-learning quality as a mediating factor. The data were collected online via Google Forms from 478 ESL students enrolled in online programs in Pakistan. Subsequently, it was analysed using Partial Least Squared (PLS) structural equation modelling.

Vveinhardt, J. & Žukovskis, J. (2025). Stress and the Farmer’s Profile: Demographic and Structural Divides. European Countryside, 17(4), 2025. 694-711. https://doi.org/10.2478/euco-2025-0035 This study aimed to examine how stressors experienced by farmers varied depending on demographic and structural factors to identify the most vulnerable farmer groups. Such data are essential for developing agricultural policy proposals aimed at strengthening the psychosocial well-being of farmers. The study was conducted in Lithuania, a region in Central and Eastern Europe with a specific historical, social and economic context. The data were collected in 2024 from 288 farmers using the Farmerś Stressors Inventory and processed employing descriptive statistical methods. Uncertainty about the future, financial worries and pressure from agricultural legislation were found to be the greatest stressors for farmers. Depending on groups, factors causing stress (hereafter referred to as stressors) differed significantly: older farmers were more likely to experience physical isolation, younger farmers were more likely to experience financial pressure, longer farming seniority was associated with greater stress related to legislation, and medium-sized farms distinguished themselves by higher stress related to labor intensity, administrative burden, and social conflicts. The results show how stressors can vary even in the context of one country, depending on the social portraits of farmers, and highlight the need to differentiate psychosocial support strategies. The results can be integrated into comparative international studies and enable the development of empirically-based locally sensitive agricultural policies.

The study aims to explore how identities, feminist waves and liberal feminism are negotiated in Bernardine Evaristo’s Girl, Woman, Other (2019), Blonde Roots (2008) and The Emperor’s Babe (2001). The study employs a qualitative textual analysis of Bernardine Evaristo’s novels Girl, Woman, Other, Blonde Roots, and The Emperor’s Babe to achieve the aim of the study. It applies John Stuart Mill's The Subjection of Women, Mary Wollstonecraft's A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, Martha Nussbaum's Sex and Social Justice and Susan Moller Okin's Justice, Gender and Family as a theoretical framework to analyse the selected novels.

Springer, Cham. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-032-03612-4_7 Knowledge management (KM) is a key tool for improving the performance and competitiveness of organisations in today’s dynamic business environment. This study examines the impact of knowledge management on organisational performance and proposes a conceptual model comprising three key elements: the employee, the manager and the organisational environment. The study employed a quantitative research design, with data collected through an electronic survey conducted among public sector employees in Lithuanian organisations between July and November 2024. A total of 396 respondents participated in the survey, exceeding the minimum sample size required for a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error. The data were analysed via descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including regression analysis, to test the proposed hypotheses and assess the relationships between knowledge management (KM) elements and organisational performance. The results revealed that the employee, the manager and the internal environment of the organisation are the three main elements of an effective KM system. These components contribute significantly to the success of the organisation, with the role of the employee (0.729) being the most influential, followed by the role of the manager (0.766) and the internal environment (0.716). The study also highlights the ethical considerations involved in the collection of data, ensuring the anonymity, confidentiality and voluntary participation of respondents.

Springer, Cham. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-48505-4_4 The aim of this research is, upon the comparison of values of different generations, to propose further hypotheses for the development of the concept of personal and organizational value congruence. Objectives of the research were set to analyze the meaning of value congruence for person and organization; to compare personal values of employees of different generations; and to present contact points of personal values of employees of different generations in order to achieve congruence of personal and organizational values. Based on the results of the theoretical research, hypotheses for future empirical research were raised: first, there may be more overlapping values between adjacent generations; second, although alongside with the increasing time gap between generations value congruence decreases, values named as basic, which are common to all three generations, remain; third, congruence exists between the values of different generations; therefore, fourth, basic values can be used for the development of congruence between values of employees of different generations and organizational values. The main conclusion of the research confirms that reducing the incongruence of values between employees of different generations and using the strongest potential inherent in the particular generation, more effective results of joint work can be achieved.

Management Theory and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development, 46(2), 139–149. https://doi.org/10.15544/mts.2024.15 Although there has been increasingly more research on congruence of personal and organizational values in recent years, there is a lack of clarity on the hierarchical order in which the value priorities of employees and the organization are arranged in this context. Therefore, the aim of the research presented in this article is to determine the level of congruence/incongruence of personal and organizational values by creating the hierarchies of personal and organizational values. The study involved 303 respondents working in Lithuanian organizations. The survey was performed employing the diagnostic instrument “Questionnaire of Values Congruence and Management Culture (Q-VC-MC-110)”. Value congruence was identified by calculating Tucker’s congruence coefficient and drawing up the lists of values arranged in a hierarchical order. It has been found that even in the presence of significant congruence of personal and organizational value groups, their hierarchical order does not necessarily coincide.

Management Theory and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development, 45(4), 352–363. https://doi.org/10.15544/mts.2023.35 In recent decades, with the growing interest of researchers in personal and organizational values and their congruence, the number of areas of interest to researchers in this field of research is also increasing. However, due to the huge amount of data and the different methods applied, it becomes complicated to identify themes important for management science and predict promising directions for further research. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the most important thematic areas related to the field of research on personal and organisational values congruence. The research sample consisted of 33626 articles, of which 6527 articles corresponded to the field of personal values research; 27011, to the field of organizational values research; and 98, to the field of research on personal and organizational values congruence. The articles in the field of management science were searched for in The Web of Science Core Collection database, covering the period from 1995 to 2023. A qualitative research method was employed, performing a keyword co-occurrence analysis and drawing up maps of co-occurrence network of keywords. In the field of personal values, 7 themes were identified, among which the focus on leadership, competition, organizational value, and cultural context was most evident. The field of organizational values research consisted of 5 themes, where the researchers paid most attention to the areas related to organizational value, organizational culture and management. In the field of research on personal and organizational values congruence, 7 other themes were found with a predominant focus on originality value and work engagement.

Springer, Cham. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-71869-5_20 In this study, the authors seek an answer to the following problematic question: what are the values of the companies operating in the pharmaceutical market and how are they oriented: inward, that is, economic indicators of the company, or outward, where are the benefits of the social context highlighted? Therefore, the purpose of this study is the identification of values of companies operating in the pharmaceutical market, establishing the most frequently published/congruent values, and grouping them according to the chosen classification, to distinguish directions of value orientation. For the purposes of this study, 50 largest pharmaceutical companies operating in the Lithuanian market, generating 80% of all money circulating in the Lithuanian pharmaceutical sector, were selected. After analyzing the websites of the 50 largest companies, 30 of them were selected for further analysis. This study proposes a different approach when after highlighting value groups of pharmaceutical companies, attention is drawn to the directions of declared values. This helps to answer questions about which values are oriented to internal processes of companies and benefits they bring to the organization and which ones, to external entities. Such separation can serve, seeking to more precisely highlight value preferences of organizations in the information flow on their web pages.

Research on psychological trauma suggests it helps to address not only a person’s religious/spiritual needs, but also to thoughtfully use religious resources in support. In this review, we conceptualise how Christian spiritual assistance can be integrated to help people cope with the individual consequences of workplace mobbing—mapping physical, psychological, and social harm and outlining a “triple” support perspective.
