My suggestion for an Ohtani nickname
Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw announced today that he's retiring after this coming postseason. He pitched in the Midwest League in 2007, posting a 2.77 ERA with 134 Ks in 97.1 IP for the Great Lakes Loons. He was the MWL Prospect of the Year and the winning pitcher in the MWL All-Star Game.

Happy big contract day to the Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who batted .316 with 7 HR & 45 RBI in 71 games with the 2017 Lansing Lugnuts before being promoted mid-season. He and Bo Bichette were fun to watch together in the Midwest League that year. Here's one of my photos of Vlad back then.
