Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson has declared a state of emergency due to dangerous heat. Three daytime cooling centers are open starting at noon - 9 p.m. Trimet is offering rides to anyone going to a cooling space starting at 11 a.m.

In our Provider Spotlight series we highlight, The Marie Equi Center.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Angela Carter and Katie Cox, The Marie Equi Center is a trans- and queer-led nonprofit working to build safety, access, and dignity for LGBTQIA2S+ communities in the Portland metro.

On World Refugee Day, we bring awareness to and recognize the courage many refugees have who are fleeing poverty, war, persecution, or any other hardship in search of a more safe and stable life.

Juneteenth, a day of celebration and community for Black Americans, and a day for everyone to move forward collectively in advancing systems to improve outcomes and increase opportunities for stable housing and supportive services for the Black community.
