Always thought Bill Kristol was a bit of an apologist and always on the side of the GOP, anti-progressive. Now he's a never-Trumper okay... sure. He joined the Bulwark... okay, a strp in the right direction. But I cannot disagree with this statement.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.
