There’s something important, though, in the fact that Mamdani is going to meet with Trump at the moment of Mamdani’s maximum politician power and popularity and Trump’s greatest weakness and vulnerability. Trump is *always* submissive next to someone who is popular with huge ratings.

It is not a peace plan, it is a surrender. Moreover, the image of the US in the world is breaking apart over actions like this. Trump is making the world a more dangerous place, and we can only wait for Putin to take the next step. And this without any doubt will come...

This is unthinkable for Ukraine and undermines U.S. national security. Appeasing dictators never achieves long-term peace. It didn't work in 1938 - and it won't work now.

- Ukraine ceding territory it now holds, after 4 years of fighting;
- Reducing Ukraine's military by over half, making it weak;
- No NATO enlargement, giving Putin a veto over NATO.

She doesn't want to have to campaign for the midterms as a GOP loyalist and then be stained by a disaster. Once she sees failure coming , she wants out immediately.
MTG, smarter than most GOP Congressmen, commits to her strategy: be the first rat off the sinking ship. She predicts the GOP will lose the midterms and Trump will be impeached - and while she's often acting, that seems like a true belief. No one should embrace her but we should respect her savvy.
